<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new boxed lunch enabling the eating of rice and side dishes like a fast food and having easy packaging and environmental friendliness. <P>SOLUTION: This film-packaged boxed lunch is put in a film packaging material and vacuum-packed with side dishes abutted on a surface of formed rice. Preferably, at least one selected from starch, a thickening agent and a gelatinizing agent is added to the side dishes, and in the side dishes, the fluidity of a water content is reduced. Preferably, the side dishes include at least one selected from fries, Tempura, a deep-fried food, a hamburger patty, ingredients of a bowl of rice topped with beef, a bowl of rice topped with boiled chicken and eggs, a bowl of rice topped with pork cutlet and a bowl of rice with a chop-suey-like mixture on it, broiled meat and a stew.
