<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crossing bar monitoring device capable of monitoring a crossing bar while of acquiring the state of the crossing bar more instantaneously than at present. <P>SOLUTION: The crossing bar monitoring device is intended for monitoring a crossing bar 204, and is provided with: a sensor part 51 that transmits radio signals, receives the reflection of the radio signals transmitted, and measures velocity on the basis of the received radio signals; a reflection part 52 that reflects the radio signals transmitted from the sensor part 51, while capable of exercising so that the distance from the sensor part 51 can vary in terms of time; and a crossing bar information outputting part 16 that outputs crossing bar information indicating the result of measuring of the sensor part 51.
