<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the liquid level of a cryogenic liquid with higher reliability by suitably controlling the magnitude of a current pulse applied to a superconductive wire of a liquid level probe for the cryogenic liquid and a profile of duration. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method of measuring the liquid level of the cryogenic liquid in a cryogenic container, and the current pulse applied to the superconducting wire of the liquid level probe for the cryogenic liquid includes an ignition current pulse part which is large enough to guarantee that a resistive front is propagated downward to below the cryogenic liquid surface along the probe, a recovery current pulse part that puts the part of the superconducting wire below a surface of the cryogenic liquid back into a superconducting state, and a measurement current pulse part which has magnitude and duration large enough to measure an accurate measured value of a resistance value of the superconducting wire. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
