<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that improves detachability of a thin recording medium while suppressing the occurrence of fusion unevenness of toner when being fixed on a thick recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a fixing roll 61; a fixing belt 62 that is wound around the fixing roll 61; a pressure roll 70 that rotates in a constant rotation direction while being pressed onto the fixing belt 62; detaching means 80 that is provided between the fixing roll 61 and the fixing belt 62 on the rotation direction side from a roll nip part A of the fixing belt 62 and the pressure roll 70; and a detaching pad 82 that is provided to the detaching means 80, presses the fixing belt 62 onto the pressure roll 70, and guides the fixing belt 62 toward a direction that separates from the pressure roll 70. The detaching pad 82 is rotated in a case of fixing on a thin sheet P so that a position where the fixing belt 62 is detached from the pressure roll 70 is displaced away from the nip part A and a larger angle is formed between the fixing belt 62 and the rotation direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
