摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer the printing quality of which is improved under a limited memory capacity, when performing the energization control of a thermal head causing a voltage drop on the simultaneous energization of a plurality of heating resistors while correcting an energization time in a direction to eliminate insufficient energization caused by the voltage drop. <P>SOLUTION: Reference energization data D<SB POS="POST">i1</SB>to obtain a desired printing gradation under a simultaneous energization number 1 as a reference are prestored in a memory 15 in association with each printing gradation i (i=1 to N), and also a calculation rule 16 to generate desired energization data D<SB POS="POST">ij</SB>for the simultaneous energization number by performing the calculation to change the energization time W<SB POS="POST">i</SB>in the direction to eliminate the insufficient energization caused by the voltage drop with reference to the reference energization data D<SB POS="POST">i1</SB>is preset in association with each printing resolution i (i=1 to N), and by the use of the reference energization data D<SB POS="POST">i1</SB>and the calculation rule 16 set in association with the printing gradation i related to a printing command, the energization data D<SB POS="POST">ij</SB>corresponding to the simultaneous energization number j and the printing gradation i related to the printing command are generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
