<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge/discharge device and a power storage system including the device, capable of more effectively utilizing a plurality of secondary batteries having variation in performance. <P>SOLUTION: A secondary battery charge/discharge device includes a plurality of secondary batteries B1-B8, a power storage part 2 in which a plurality of capacitors C1-C4 are mutually connected in series, and a connection device 3 in which the capacitor selected from among the plurality of capacitors C1-C4 is connected to the secondary battery selected from among the plurality of secondary batteries B1-B8 to constitute a charge circuit or discharge circuit.
