<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repair a level difference in accordance with an image. <P>SOLUTION: In the image processing device for performing pixel shifting processing to shift a pixel in a sub-scanning direction with respect to an image composed by a plurality of pixels standing in two directions (a main-scanning direction and a sub-scanning direction) perpendicular to each other, the continuous number of the pixels in a range in which a gradation width from a boundary location for shifting the pixel is predetermined is calculated, in the main scanning direction, and based on the continuous number, it is determined whether or not the level difference is produced in the image obtained after the pixel shifting processing is performed. When it is determined that the level difference is produced, in accordance with the calculated continuous number, the pixels contained between lines on which the pixels are continuous in the main scanning direction and which correspond to the occasion when the pixels are shifted are replaced with each other to repair the level difference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
