<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical code reading device which allows change of internal setting values without preliminarily preparing many optical codes for setting. <P>SOLUTION: The optical code reading device includes imaging means, optical code reading means, identification means of optical codes for setting change, detection means and setting change means. The optical code reading means detects an optical code from time series images imaged by the imaging means, and reads information indicated by the optical code. The identification means of optical codes for setting change identifies whether the optical code indicates an optical code for setting change which instructs to change setting values, based on the information read by the optical code reading means. The detection means detects a variation between the time series images concerning the optical code detected by the optical code reading means.
