<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonograph that displays an image so that a possible malignant site can be easily found out. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonograph includes an extraction section to extract a microstructure object in a B-mode image BG on the basis of echo signals transmitted to the subject, a dense part detection section to detect dense parts of the extracted microstructure object, and a highlight image display control section to display a point α as an highlight image EG formed by highlighting the detected dense parts. The dense part detection section, for instance, detects the dense parts on the basis of the number of microstructure objects per unit area.
