Motor control concept and device for controlling the performance of a motor vehicle

The controller (30) has an electronic controlling and regulating device (71) for storing characteristics for estimating energy requirement of power consumers (3) i.e. auxiliary devices, depending on operating parameters of the consumers. The device selects a power value of a drive unit (4) from the stored characteristics for estimating the energy requirement of the consumers before connecting the consumers to the drive unit. The device adapts the power value to the consumers after connecting the consumers to the drive unit. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling power of an engine of a vehicle.
