Aq. dispersions of emulsion polymers of sulphoacrylic acid and/or salts with major amts. of other olefinically undstd. monomers which, when polymerised by themselves, give water-insoluble homopolymers, are claimed. The copolymers contain 5 to 20 wt. % sulphoacrylic acid. The products have low tendency to coagulation, with no thickening in presence of alkaline agents.
