PURPOSE: A long object transporting device for a forklift is provided to enable stable and easy transfer of a long object by reducing the slack of both ends of the long object when lifting the long object to be transported. CONSTITUTION: A long object transporting device comprises a central carriage(8) and a right-left extension part(6). The central carriage comprises a pair of forks(18b) on the front side of a lifting member(4) of a forklift(2). The right-left extension part is integrally installed in the carriage and comprises two or more boom-type lateral casing pipes(10), each comprising a multi-stage telescopic pipe(14) having a vertical arm(16). A stopper protrusion is formed inside the leading end of each stage of the casing pipe. An extension driving unit comprising a multi-stage operating rod and a driving cylinder is installed inside the multi-stage telescopic pipe. A pair of forks(18a) are detachably coupled to the vertical arm using pin-type fasteners. |
