PURPOSE: An electrode active material is provided not to have structural change even in repeating intercalation and deintercalation of Li ion hardly, and not to be collapsed structurally even at overcharging, thereby remarkably reducing the danger of explosion and ignition. CONSTITUTION: An electrode active material of a lithium secondary battery comprises one or more compounds selected from chemical formula 1: Li_xMo_(4-y)M_yO_(6-z)A_z. In chemical formula 1, 0<=x<=2, 0<=y<=0.5, 0<=z<=0.5, M is metal cation having the oxidation number of (+2) - (+4), and A is anion of (-1) or (-2). The electrode is a positive electrode. The A is one or more selected from a group consisting of halogen, S and N. In An electrode for lithium secondary battery, The electrode active material is spread on a current collector. |
