A composition is used in the ferrous metallurgy in the steel production with the out of furnace treatment in the ladles with the purpose to improve the quality of the metal as a result of refining of impurities, non-metallic inclusions and modifications. The aim of the invention is introduction of solid slag-forming mixture of (CaO + SaF) in the amount of 10-30 wt. % over than 100 % during the process of preparation of refining slag in the ladle with reducing agents of calcium carbide and aluminum. The technical result is the decrease of the impurities content in steel - sulfur and phosphorus are reduced two-fold and three-fold, respectively, and decrease in the internal defects of the cast section by 1.5 times.
