<p>PURPOSE: An electronic power steering device is provided to decide intensity of measured current flowing in a driving motor by getting current sensing signals, and determine malfunction of a torque sensor or a current detector by comparing intensity of presumptive current and the measured current. CONSTITUTION: An electronic power steering device comprises an input shaft(110), an output shaft, a reducer(130), a torque sensor(140), a current detector(160), and an electronic control unit(150). The reducer delivers driving force of a driving motor to the output shaft. The torque sensor detects torsion amount of a torsion bar to output torque sensing signals. The current detector detects current flowing in the driving motor to output current sensing signals. The electronic control unit decides torque applying to a steering wheel by inputting the torque sensing signals and decides presumptive current of the driving motor according to the torque. The electronic control unit decides measured current intensity flowing in the driving motor by inputting the current sensing signals and determines malfunction of the torque sensor or the current detector by comparing intensity of the measured current and the presumptive current.</p> |
