PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to discharge charge energy as a connection member is directly electrifies electrode terminals when the temperature of a cell rises by the abnormal operation of the battery, and to improve battery safety. CONSTITUTION: In a secondary battery(500), an electrode assembly is included in a case; a positive electrode terminal(510) and a negative electrode terminal(520) of the electrode assembly are formed at the outside of the case in order to connect to an external circuit; a connection member(100) is electrically connected to electrode terminals, wherein the connection member is disconnected in a normal operation state and electrified at high temperature in an abnormal operation state. The connection member includes conductive parts connected to the positive and/or negative terminals and an insulating part interposed between the electrode terminal and the conductive part. |
