<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy adjustment of a user preference when a similar image is searched for. <P>SOLUTION: A device includes: an image database (12) pre-storing therein images; and search means (14 through 18) for searching image data stored in the image database (12) for images similar to an input image specified by a search requester. Further, the search means includes: determination means (17) for determining respective similarities between the input image and individual images stored in the image database 12 by using plural determination criteria obtained by weighting and combining individual differences between plural feature values representing characteristics of images; and tuning screen send-out means (18) for sending out, to the search requester, images whose similarity determined by the determination means (17) satisfies a predefined condition as a tuning screen divided into groups by the determination criteria. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
