PURPOSE: A camera module and manufacturing method thereof are provided to fix a lens barrel and a holder by combining the first protrusion unit with a second protrusion unit. CONSTITUTION: A first protrusion unit(43) is formed at a rib unit. The rib unit is projected to the boundary of a lens accommodation unit in a lens barrel(40). A second protrusion unit(53) is formed at a location corresponding to the first protrusion unit. The rib unit of the lens barrel is held at the upper side of a holder. The first protrusion unit and the second protrusion unit are fused in order to fix the lens barrel with the holder.
