<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source device and an image forming apparatus using an auxiliary power supply part in addition to a main power supply part. <P>SOLUTION: In a color digital composite device 1, a constant voltage power supply part 102 of a main power supply part 62 generates constant voltage power from a commercial AC power source 70 to supply to a 5 V load 68 and a 24 V load 69, while power is stored in a capacitor 122 of an auxiliary power supply part 63 by the commercial AC power source 70. Then, constant current power generated by a constant-current power supply part 124 from the storage power storage is supplied to the 24 V load 69, and a load current detector 116 detects a load current flowed in the 24 V-system load 69, and an input-output control part 64 sets to a current indicator 65 which controls an output current of the constant-current power supply part 124, an output current upper limit value which limits output power of a constant voltage power supply part 102 based on a load state. As well as the setting, when power supply of the constant-current power supply part 124 of the auxiliary power supply part 63 is stopped, the output current upper limit value is controlled so that supply power of the constant-current power supply part 124 is settled during a predetermined settling time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
