<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kneader which prevents a kneading element from floating and falling out due to a buoyant force generated by liquid raw materials or other factors by fixing the kneading element and a shaft, and is easily detached/attached. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft 1001 has a connection part 1002 in connection with a shaft hole of the kneading element. The connection part 1002 includes: a projection part 1007 having a surface for preventing the kneading element from falling out; a first flat surface 1005 and a second flat surface 1004 extending in a shaft core direction of the shaft 1001, and formed at an opening angle in a circumferential direction. The projection part 1007 is formed in an eave shape at the tip end of the first flat surface 1005. The second flat surface 1004 is formed up to the tip end of the connection part 1002. The shaft hole of the kneading element has an engagement flat surface with the first flat surface 1005 of the shaft 1001 in the shaft core direction so that the cross-section shape is formed in a D shape.
