METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING MESSAGE INCLUDING UNIVERSAL RESOURCE LOCATOR

A method and system for providing a message including a Universal Resource Locator. The method comprises: detecting whether message content of a message input by a user includes a first Universal Resource Locator; if the message content includes the first Universal Resource Locator, calculating the length of the message by using a first length value as the length of the first Universal Resource Locator; if the calculated length of the message is smaller than a preset message length, allowing the user to continue adding message content; replacing the first Universal Resource Locator included in the message with a second Universal Resource Locator, and saving a correspondence between the first Universal Resource Locator and the second Universal Resource Locator, wherein the length of the second Universal Resource Locator is smaller than or equal to the first length value; and providing the message including the second Universal Resource Locator. The technical solution of the present invention converts the Universal Resource Locator in the message to a short Universal Resource Locator, so that the Universal Resource Locator occupies as short length as possible in the message body, and that the message length is not too great when a long Universal Resource Locator is inserted into the message.
