<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beveling device of a copying roller type automatically removing welding bead of the edge of a pipe material. <P>SOLUTION: The beveling device for a pipe material P has a cutter 9 and the copying roller 11. The copying roller 11 is disposed to be switchable between an operating mode of transmitting a change in an outer peripheral face shape of the pipe material P to the cutter 9 and an inoperative mode of not transmitting the change in the outer peripheral face shape of the pipe material P to the cutter 9.
