<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a stereoscopic image having an appropriate stereoscopic effect to be easily photographed even by a photographer with little experience of stereoscopic image photographing. <P>SOLUTION: Based on a two-dimensional right-eye image that is a non-stereoscopic image output from a right image input unit 104, a pseudo stereoscopic image generation device 107 generates a right-eye image 109 and a reference left-eye image 110 constituting a pseudo stereoscopic image. An image composition unit 111 combines a left-eye image 108 and the reference left-eye image 110 by applying image processing for making their difference intelligible. While visually confirming a display screen of an image display device 112 that displays an image combined by the image composition unit 111, a photographer adjusts a baseline length and a convergence angle between a left imaging sensor 101 and a right imaging sensor 102 so that, for example, an area where the reference left-eye image 110 and the left-eye image 108 that are displayed with mutually different colors overlap each other becomes large. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
