<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment free handrail which is relatively difficult to be detached. <P>SOLUTION: The attachment free handrail is provided with two handrails 100 on the fixation side, a handrail 200 on the detachment side, and an attachment and detachment mechanism 300. The handrail 200 on the detachment side is connected between the handrails 100 on the fixation side, and the attachment and detachment mechanism 300 provided between both the handrails 100, 200 connects the handrail 200 on the detachment side to the handrail 100 on the fixation side in a manner of free attachment and detachment. The detachment mechanism 300 has an attachment and detachment section 310 on the fixation side and an attachment and detachment section 320 on the detachment side. The attachment and detachment section 310 is attached to the end of the handrail 100 on the fixation side, and the attachment and detachment section 320 on the detachment side is attached to the end of the handrail 200 on the detachment side. Then the attachment and detachment section 310 on the fixation side has a body 311 on the fixation side, a latch member 312, an elastic body 313, and a lock member 314. The latch member 312 is slidably housed in the through hole 316 of the body 311 on the fixation side, and the elastic body 313 projects the latch member 312 in the outside direction. The lock member 314 backs off the latch member 312 in the body 311 on the fixation side with respect to the elastic body 313. The attachment and detachment section 320 on the detachment side has a body 312 on the detachment side 321 which has a concavity 322 into which the projected latch member 312 enters.
