FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: scrambled secondary synchronisation codes (SSC) can be assigned to multiple base stations of a radio access network (RAN). As an example, PSC-based scrambling codes can be created from a plurality of M-sequences generated from a common polynomial expression. Further, an SSC codebook is provided that selects sequence pairs of a sequence matrix for generating SSC.
