SUBSCRIBER UNIT OF WIRELESS DIGITAL CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS (CDMA) COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless digital code division multiple access (CDMA) communication system which supports all types of voice communication and data communication using a minimum frequency band for each use.

SOLUTION: This system efficiently allocates ISDN bandwidth in quick response to a request from a subscriber. When a subscriber station unit is activated, this system establishes a channel and generates a spectrum spreading code required to support a maximum capacity channel desired by the subscriber station unit. A part of the communication bandwidth is not reserved until it is actually required by the subscriber station unit. A call setup such as assignment of the spectrum spreading code or the like is performed at the beginning of a call from the subscriber station unit, so the subscriber station unit can quickly access a part of a frequency spectrum required to support a required specific application.
