<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably recover the ink discharged in an auxiliary discharging and reduce useless parts and cost. <P>SOLUTION: In an inkjet recording apparatus, a sweeping unit 35 is disposed in a home position so that the unit not only sweeps a face surface of a recording head 9 but also receives the auxiliary discharged ink from a nozzle.
