<p>Disclosed are a message management method and device, comprising: receiving a request for deleting message M1 published by user A, and the request carries index ID1 of the message M1; updating the message status corresponding to index ID1 from normal to deleted, and the deleted status is used to prevent user B from extracting, forwarding or communicating with message M1. The method and device provided in the present invention can improve scalability.</p>
