<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The machine (2) has a marking or labeling element e.g. punch (6), for marking or labeling pieces, and a delivery unit for delivering the pieces to be marked or labeled opposite to the element. The delivery unit has arms (20, 22) rotating about a common geometrical axis (X2) and carrying supporting bodies e.g. mandrels (213, 233), to support the pieces. The delivery unit comprises independent driving units for driving one of the arms to rotate around the axis independent of the other arm. The driving units have a brushless electric motor (30) mounted on a plate (4E) of a chassis (4). #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for marking and labeling pieces. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Machine for marking and labeling a cylindrical shaped piece e.g. cosmetic product and perfume vial. Can also be used for marking and labeling non-cylindrical shaped piece and for setting or screen-printing of labels on a cloth. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The arm can move the piece to be marked or already labeled when the other arm is in a intervene station such loading station, marking station, checkpoint or unloading station, so that the immobilization time of the arms in one of the stations is varied depending on the nature of the operations to be performed, thus improving productivity of the machine. The independent driving units drive one of the arms to rotate around the axis independent to the other arm at proper speed between the stations without interfering with operations on pieces supported by the other arm.
