PURPOSE: A backlight unit is provided to shift the route of light into a light route shift layer wherein the light moves in a local area of a light guide plate, thereby emitting the light to the outside. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of grooves are formed on a light guide plate(100). Each side light emitting device is inserted into each groove. A light route shift layer(250) is formed on the light guide plate. The light route shift layer shifts the route of light emitted from the light guide plate. The light route shift layer is formed on a light emitting surface of the light guide plate.
