The wedge has an insertion area with a cross-section defined by a lower side (3), an inner side (2) and an outer side. The lower side is turned towards a gum in a gingival-near inserted condition. The inner and outer sides are turned towards teeth to be restored or treated and an adjoined tooth, respectively. The inner and lower sides are run together in a sealing edge (1) that is fitted at the teeth to be restored or treated in the inserted condition for acting against passage of a material. The insertion area is partially curved in a direction of the inner side. |
