SLIDING PENDULUM ISOLATOR

PURPOSE: A seismic isolation system is provided to deliver a load created on the upper structure of a bridge to the lower structure in the normal times and to evenly dissipate earthquake energy in the event of an earthquake. CONSTITUTION: A seismic isolation system(100) comprises a lower plate(110) which is fixed to the upper side of piers and has a spherical seat receiving groove, a spherical seat(120) which has one side shaped corresponding to the spherical seat receiving groove and the other side having a specific radius of curvature, and an upper plate(130) which is arranged in contact with the upper side of the spherical seat and supports a bridge slab. One side of the upper plate is formed with a slide groove(131) having a radius of curvature corresponding to the spherical seat and the other side thereof is pressed and fixed to the underside of the bridge slab.
