A method for indication of carbon monoxide through dyeing reactive applied to solid carrier – silica-gel, at passing gas through it, at which one uses a transparent cell with water solution of potassium permanganate KMnO(chemically pure or analytically pure) in distillated water in amount of 0.02 mol., or 3.16068 g in 1 l (0.1 n solution) with alkali KOH, NaOH or other in amount of up to pH of substance higher than 7, and at temperature within 5 and 40 °C. By change of intensity of color from violet-crimson to green one determines presence and concentration of carbon monoxide CO in air-gas mixture bubbled through the volume of indicator, by scale of pre-calibrated device. |
