<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To light lamps on the same side as respective pedals to always confirm with the eyes that the right pedal is for an accelerator and the left pedal is for a brake. <P>SOLUTION: This stepping error preventing device between the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal of an automobile includes a blue accelerator pedal lamp 3 provided near a speedometer 10 on the right side of an instrument panel 2 in front of a driver's seat; a red brake pedal lamp 4 provided on the left side; an accelerator pedal stepping detector 6 detecting stepping of the accelerator pedal 5 when it is stepped on; a brake pedal stepping detector 8 detecting stepping of the brake pedal 7 when it is stepped on; and an electronic control circuit 9 allowing the accelerator pedal lamp 3 and the brake pedal lamp 4 to emit light based on electric signals output from the detectors 6, 8. The electronic control circuit 9 controls both lamps to be luminous with weak light to the extent of recognizing red and blue when both pedals are not stepped on, and controls to allow the blue accelerator pedal lamp 3 to be brightly luminous when the accelerator pedal 5 is stepped on and to allow the red brake pedal lamp 4 to be brightly luminous when the brake pedal 7 is stepped on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
