The sensor has an electrically conductive contact structure (5) and an electrically isolating support plate arranged at distance from each other. The structure comprises multiple lower and upper bending joist elements (31, 33) that are deflected toward and electrically in contact with strip conductor finger portions and strip conductor portions through a magnetic field generated by a movable magnet. Ends (37, 41) of the lower and upper joist elements are cantilevered and ends (35, 39) of the lower and upper joist elements are held with respect to the plate. The contact structure is formed from metal foil or thin sheet metal. The bending joist elements are formed from a soft magnetic material.
