This ultrasound diagnostic device comprises a vital sign analysis unit, which takes in vital signs from a vital sign acquisition unit sequentially over a plurality of periods and evaluates the stability of heart function in one period between specific signal waveforms of the vital signs and one period between specific signal waveforms of the vital signs that is adjacent to said preceding one period between specific signal waveforms of the vital signs; selects as a heart function test interval, on the basis of the results of the evaluation, the period between specific signal waveforms and the adjacent period between specific signal waveforms; and assigns the selected test interval to a time phase of the vital signs.
