摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply configured wavelength division multiplex optical addressing type display that is not made more complex in structure or enlarged in size even if the number of wavelengths to be multiplexed increases. <P>SOLUTION: A display comprises a data electrode 10 divided on a subpixel-by-subpixel basis; a photoconductive film 20 disposed immediately underneath the data electrode; a transparent electrode 30 disposed immediately underneath the photoconductive film; a plurality of types of wavelength filters 40 disposed immediately underneath the transparent electrode in parallel to a first direction, each matching one or another of lights of a plurality of wavelengths; and a plurality of waveguides 50 disposed in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The display is further provided with a picture display unit 120 on which addressing takes place as a voltage applied to the transparent electrode is applied to the data electrode when lights passing the wavelength filters come incident on the waveguides to reduce the resistance of the photoconductive film, and a light source unit 160 that brings to incidence on the waveguides lights emitted from a two-dimensional array 150 in which light emitting elements each emitting one or another of the lights of the plurality of wavelengths are arrayed two-dimensionally. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
