The filter (1) has an end disk (3) sealingly connected with a filtering medium (2) i.e. annular bellows, at a contact surface (4). A water collection chamber (14) is integrated into the end disk for collecting clean-side water that is separated from fuel. The end disk extends from the contact surface in a direction turned away from the filtering medium for formation of the chamber. The end disk comprises a flat base surface (9) spaced from the contact surface. The disk has a circumferential wall (7) between the base and contact surfaces for radial confinement of the chamber.
