The invention relates to a storage box for AFM probes (1) comprising a tip (2) arranged on a lever (3) secured to a support (3'), the said box comprising a base (4) having a bottom (5) and a side wall (6) delimiting a storage space (7), the said bottom (5) comprising at least one housing (8) capable of accepting the tip (2) of a probe (1). The box has a lid (9) able to close and open the said storage space (7) and retaining means capable of immobilizing the probes (1) in the storage space (7) when the tips of the probes (1) are positioned in their respective housings (8). According to the invention, the box comprises sealing means (15) for sealing the storage space (7) against liquids when the said storage space (7) is closed by the lid (9) and filled with a liquid.
