A safety gate, in particular for children, is provided that includes a stationarily positionable frame with a lower base and two side parts, the side parts extending upwards from the base, and a door member, the door member being articulated at the frame pivotably about a pivot axis. A closure member is arranged at one of two, the frame or the door member, and a countersupport is arranged at the respective other of the two, such that the closure member and the countersupport are interacting in a closed position of the door member. The door member can be moved in the direction of the pivot axis in order to release a positive blockade, wherein the movability of the door member in the direction of the pivot axis can be releasably locked via an actuable locking member. |
