PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of the quantity of light from a strobe and to utilize effectively the strobe light by starting flat lighting operation when a leading shutter blind reaches a position right before a photographic image plane exposure area. CONSTITUTION:A lighting start signal generating means 20 generates a lighting start signal while the output of an integration start switch 1 which controls an exposure period is delayed by a specific time through a delay circuit 6. Thus, flat lighting operation is started at the start of exposure by the leading shutter blind by the output of the circuit 6 operated with the switch 1, so the unnecessary consumption of lighting energy before exposure is reduced and the energy charged in a main capacitor 63 is utilized effectively to expose a film.
