A reforming apparatus (100) includes a reformer (120) for generating the reformed gas, a combustor (130) for producing the combustion exhaust gas, a vaporizer (150) for heating the reforming water by the combustion exhaust gas, a superheated steam generator (160) for performing a heat exchange between the reforming water and the reformed gas, a CO reducer (140), having a catalyst layer containing a catalyst capable of promoting the reaction of reducing carbon monoxide contained in the reformed gas, in which the reduced gas having been subjected to a heat exchange with the reforming water at the superheated steam (160) is supplied and the temperature of the catalyst layer is adjusted as a result of the heat exchange with the reformed gas, a combustion air blower (171), and a controller (180). The control unit (180) controls the heating rate of the reforming water by the combustion exhaust gas at the vaporizer (150) in a manner such that the feed rate of the combustion air is regulated based on the temperature of the reforming water downstream of the vaporizer (150) or based on the temperature of the reformed gas downstream of the superheated steam generator (160). |
