PURPOSE: A novel tacrolimus derivative and a composition containing the derivative are provided to protect nerves and suppress immunity. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing tacrolimus comprises: a step of culturing tcsB gene-deleted Streptomyces strain; and a step of supplying 4-methylpentanoic acid or 4-fluorocrotonic acid to the strain. The method further comprises a step of adding carboxylic acid of 4-halocrotonic acid, branched/4-halobutanoic acid, branched/unsaturated/5-halopentanoic acid, branched/unsaturated hexanoic acid, or heptanoic acid. A composition for preventing or treating nerve diseases contains a compound of chemical formula 1, isomer thereof, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt.
