PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle device etc. capable of appropriately controlling application use of a portable information terminal during vehicle running with a simple configuration.

SOLUTION: The on-vehicle device to which the portable information terminal having a plurality of applications is connected outputs caution or warning information to a vehicle occupant when information which is sent from the connected portable information terminal and indicates that the application currently being executed in the portable information terminal has an attribute of availability during the vehicle running is not received continuously.
