<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem relating to a relational model. <P>SOLUTION: A data management system includes plural independent data structures having a common form. Each of the data structures encapsulates a single data instance and also encapsulates plural reference to other independent data structures that encapsulate related data instances.
