<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device that reduces a contact area of an insulation layer arranged around each pixel and a deposition mask without causing any increase in the number of manufacturing step or manufacturing cost, and prevents transfer of deposits from the deposition mask to the insulation layer. <P>SOLUTION: An organic EL display device comprises a first insulation layer 11 formed on a substrate 10, a plurality of first electrodes 13 arranged on the first insulation layer 11 in matrix, an opening 15 formed on the first insulation layer 11 on the periphery of the first electrode 13, a second insulation layer 12 arranged in a region overlapping the opening 15, an organic compound layer covering the first electrodes 13, and a second electrode provided on the organic compound layer. A material that forms the first electrode 13 does not exist in the opening 15, and a recess 17 reflecting the opening 15 of the first insulation layer 11 is formed perpendicular to the substrate surface on the surface of the second insulation layer 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
