<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing occurrence of a white spot in an image on a recessed portion of a recording paper surface having a substantial number of irregularities while obtaining a sufficient level of image density on the recessed portion. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 60 is caused to grasp a toner attaching amount to be attached to a region defined to be a predetermined size (equivalent to tens of pixels) in a particular zone, of all zones of an intermediate transfer belt 31 in the circumferential direction, the particular zone immediately before entering a secondary transfer nip where a nip-forming roller 36 abuts and in a circumferential moving direction of the intermediate transfer belt. Further, a secondary transfer bias power supply 39 is configured so that, of DC and AC components of a secondary transfer bias, at least the AC component is output in constant voltage control or constant current control, and so that an output target value of the AC component in the constant voltage or constant current control is changed in accordance with the toner attaching amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
