<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device for selecting a first image and a second image based on the degree of correspondence between information in the first image and information in the second image. <P>SOLUTION: Extraction means of an image processing device extracts a predetermined area in an image. Recognition means performs character recognition of an image in the area extracted by the extraction means. Evaluation point determination means determines an evaluation point indicating the degree of correspondence between first information obtained by performing character recognition of a first image by the recognition means and second information obtained by performing character recognition of a second image by the recognition means.
