<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor belt having improved elasticity on regions of ends of respective parts which are connected with one another. <P>SOLUTION: The conveyor belt is formed with rubber or a rubbery plastic material and is reinforced with steel cables 2 extended in parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction. The conveyor belt is assembled with the parts which are connected with one another. Each of the steel cables 2 includes a cable core 21 and strand wires 22 which helically surround the cable core, and are arranged at the end regions of respective parts so as to abut against one another on one side and overlap with one another on the other side. The end parts belonging to respective groups of the steel cables are set apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the conveyor belt. At least in the majority of the steel cables, the strand wires which surround the cable core of the respective steel cables terminate at several distances set apart from the ends of cable cores, and cross sections of the steel cables decrease toward the ends thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
