<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen suction apparatus capable of performing appropriate lowering/sucking operations of a suction tube while preventing damage of the suction tube in a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A first specimen dispensation arm 5 (specimen suction apparatus) includes: a pipet 5b; a cover detector 46 for detecting a cover 101; a Z drive motor 73a for vertically moving the pipet 5b; a collision sensor 55 capable of detecting collision of the pipet 5b; and a controller for controlling the Z drive motor 73a and controlling the Z drive motor 73a to stop when the collision sensor 55 detects collision. The controller is configured to control the Z drive motor 73a so as to lower the pipet 5b down to a predetermined height higher than the cover 101 when sucking a specimen from a specimen container 100 whose cover 101 has been detected, and to lower the pipet 5b down through the cover 101 regardless of whether the collision sensor 55 detects collision, after the pipet 5b is lowered down to the predetermined height. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
